Built for Africa's
Industrial Ambition.

Structured Energy Systems (SES) is a multi-division industrial enabler headquartered in Lagos, Nigeria. Since 2013, we have grown from a specialist power solutions company into an integrated force across energy, technology, trading, and manufacturing connecting Africa's businesses to the infrastructure, compliance systems, and supply chains they need to thrive at scale.

We don't just power businesses. We build the infrastructure, systems, and supply chains that make African industry possible, and sustainable.

SES was founded on a simple but powerful insight: Africa's industries face interconnected challenges that no single-service provider can solve. Power failure, regulatory complexity, supply chain fragility, and outdated manufacturing infrastructure are not separate problems, they are symptoms of the same structural gap.

Team collaboration

We are four integrated divisions operating as one ecosystem: SES Energy (Firefly) delivers reliable power; SES Tech Solutions drives digital transformation and RegTech compliance; SES Trading bridges critical supply chains; and Rockville Industries localises manufacturing production. Together, they address the full industrial lifecycle.

Business partnership

Headquartered at Ikoyi, Lagos with a regional office in Accra, Ghana, SES partners with corporations, financial institutions, governments, and FMCG producers across West Africa, backed by ISO 27001 and ISO 9001 certification, and strategic alliances with AWS, IMTF, Siemens, Dell, Cisco, and Afreximbank.

SES History
Our History

A Decade of
Purposeful Evolution

SES did not grow by chance. Every new division was born from a real gap discovered in the field, a client need that existing providers could not meet, a market inefficiency that demanded a structural response. This is the story of how four divisions became one ecosystem.

Foundation

SES Energy Established

SES commenced operations as a specialist power solutions company, delivering reliable backup and hybrid power systems to Nigeria's financial sector. The company's first clients were leading Nigerian banks facing chronic grid instability and a growing need for uninterrupted operations.

Early Traction

Firefly Brand Deployed at 300 Sites

Within two years of founding, SES Energy's Firefly brand had powered 300+ sites across Nigeria's financial sector, establishing the company's reputation for reliability, technical excellence, and commitment to uptime that would define every division to follow.

Technology Pivot

SES Tech Solutions Born

Deep engagement with banking clients revealed a pattern: stable power was not enough. Institutions needed digital visibility, regulatory compliance tools, and operational technology. SES identified the opportunity to provide tech solutions, beginning with self-service kiosk deployments for Union Bank across multiple Lagos and Abuja locations.

Digital Infrastructure

ATM Security & Banking Technology

SES deployed 1,400 ATM anti-skimming devices across the Nigerian banking sector, establishing SES as a trusted name in financial security technology and creating the deep institutional relationships that would later anchor the RegTech division's growth.

RegTech Leadership

Pioneer Fraud Management at Wema Bank

SES Tech deployed its first enterprise-grade fraud management solution at Wema Bank, a landmark project that established SES as Nigeria's pioneer RegTech integrator and paved the way for bespoke compliance automation across multiple financial institutions.

AWS Partnership

Cloud & Digital Transformation Scale-Up

Formalising its partnership with AWS, IMTF, Fraudnet, Dnjoil, and Afreximbank, SES Tech evolved into a full digital infrastructure and RegTech consultancy, driving cloud adoption, compliance automation, and AI-enabled fraud detection for African financial and industrial players.

Supply Chain Division

SES Trading Established

Supply chain gaps identified during Energy and Technology engagements led SES to establish its Industrial Trading arm. Beginning with the sourcing of resins and technical materials for FMCG clients, SES Trading rapidly evolved into a structured commercial operation delivering raw materials, packaging materials, and critical spares across West Africa, accumulating over N10 billion in trade volume.

Ecosystem Deepens

Cross-Division Integration Begins

With three divisions now operating, SES began formally integrating its ecosystem, enabling trading insights to inform energy deployments, technology platforms to optimise supply chain efficiency, and combined client relationships to deliver multi-division value that no single competitor could match.

Manufacturing Vision

Rockville Industries, Offtake Agreement Secured

Leveraging its expertise in trading and client relationships with West Africa's largest FMCG producers, SES founded Rockville Industries, its manufacturing and industrial infrastructure arm. Before production commenced, Rockville secured a landmark offtake agreement with one of West Africa's leading beverage manufacturers for caps and biodegradable packaging.

Infrastructure Scale-Up

Industrial Park Development & N20B Programme

SES commenced development of a co-industrial park in collaboration with leading financial institutions, engineering consultants, and ESG specialists, while raising a N10 billion debt programme (expanding to N20 billion) to finance the next phase of trading, manufacturing, and infrastructure scale-up across West Africa.

CSR & IMPACT

Business That
Builds Beyond profit

At SES, we believe that the measure of a great company is not only what it earns, but what it builds, protects, and leaves behind. Our commitment to Environmental, Social, and Governance principles is not compliance; it is conviction.

Every division of SES was designed with sustainability in mind, from the renewable energy systems we deploy to the biodegradable packaging Rockville manufactures and the community programmes our SMILE initiative funds. Doing good business and doing good for Africa are not competing objectives at SES; they are the same objective.

We measure our impact not just in revenue or sites powered, but in the children supported, the employees empowered, the carbon displaced by clean energy, and the communities strengthened by economic activity that stays local.
